HP Fandom: misspelling Horcruxes since 2005
Further to Misspelled Horcruxes (September 2005) and More Misspelled Horcruxes (May 2006) - I'm tickled to report that the fandom is still coming up with new and creative ways of misspelling those soul-splitty things.

Spotted three in the past week.

* But, if they found out that Harry was after Voldemort's Hurcroxes, she wouldn't be the only one in danger...

* its the holidays after harry 6 th year what will ahppen harry ginny together? horruxes? read to find out

* Yes I defeated him and in the process I died since I was one of his Horcoux's but surprisingly I came back to life.

see? i alwasy thought it said corkhoaxes. i wish you knew dutch by the way. I love the way the translater played with it. let's jsut say he took the phrase 'fragments of a soul' too far.

Corkhoaxes. Yes, that could work.

*snort*/*sigh*=OTP!

I'm amused, although personally I think it's all JKR's fault--the plural should've been horcruces in the first place.

Not that it would have actually helped or anything, I suppose. ;-)

But in a world where people think that "ill take all thre of em"* is an appropriate review to leave for a fic, I suppose we can't be surprised at things like this.

*Is this a compliment? A criticism of the fact that the fic is Harry/Ginny/Hermione/Luna rather than [idiot reviewer]/Ginny/Hermione/Luna? A sign that the "reviewer" misunderstood that the screen in question was a space for leaving a review, thinking instead that they were on a site where they could place their order for a takeaway special of spam, sausage, and spam?

The whole fandom would still be arguing about how to pronounce horcruces.

Dunno... 'Horcoux' has a rather poetic ring to it... French symbolism, anyone?

Egad, nothing beats your "Horton Hears a Horcrux" comment from September 2005. Now there's a Seuss parody I'd like to see. :D
